The Business of My Future

I, like so many others are looking for a legitimate and honest way to make an income from home. I became a first time Mom 5 years ago and the search began. My husband at the time worked a full-time job and we were "okay" but an extra $500 a month would help. I looked and looked and tried and tried. I was eventually introduced to Amway or Quixtar as it was then. I tried that too. I wasn't into throwing "parties" at my house so I proceeded to make sample bags with catalogs and the like in them. I figure I spent about $1,000 trying to "advertise" myself and my new business. I gave these sample bags to about 20 or so people. And I got a few people to place a few orders. In the 6 months or so I was actively working at Quixtar I made about $50. Whoo-hoo! $50! I was bored and frustrated with it. I was tired of bothering my friends and family to buy stuff but that is what I was taught to do. My mentors just kept telling me to have parties and ask more people to buy. More people? I don't know anymore people. I gave up. Instead I worked in the evenings as a book keeper for a local grocery store and did a little waitressing on the weekends for a family owned Mexican food restaurant. It was right about that extra $500 to keep things going. I did that for awhile and then came some very huge and dramatic life changing events. Due to these events, I was forced to go back to work at a "real" job. I did the J-O-B thing for about a year and had some more life changing events. I was a stay at home Mom again but with no income from my significant other. I needed something and needed it fast.

Back to looking for work or something I could do at home. I really wanted to be able to be at home with my son and my new baby daughter. I kept looking. I finally came across an ad for a telecommute position. Very skeptical I answered it, figuring I would never hear back from anyone or if I did it would be someone trying to sell me something. Like a CD to show me how to become an overnight millionaire. I wasn't about to pay anything to anyone. I was tired of all the scams and fake "businesses" out there. The data entry jobs of never never land. But I still answered the ad. I received a call a few days later and after about a week of phone tag I talked with a really nice lady. She had been working from home for 9 years and had 4 kids. She loved what she did and was making a real and substantial income from it. I listened to her, still VERY skeptical. She set me up for an appointment for a webcast presentation to give me an overview of the company and how it all worked. I just kept thinking, this is a scam, it had to be. But what did I have to lose at this point except 45 minutes of my time? Seemed like a small price to pay and I got a 45 minuter break from my kids if nothing else! So, I watched and I got a few minutes into the presentation and went, great another Quixtar! But I kept listening and I liked what I saw, I liked the way the company worked and I liked the idea of not having to throw a single party, or take an single order, or collect any money from anyone. Very different from what I had experienced previously. I watched, I wrote down my thoughts, my questions, and my concerns. I spoke with that very nice lady the next day and told her I needed to think about it, but she did answer all of my questions. She gave me her phone number and told me to call her with any other questions I had. Fair enough. So, I thought about, and I thought about it. I would need to come up with $29.00 for my business kit and then I would need to place an order for the products the company has. I was a bit concerned about both of those things. What if it didn't work? How do I get my money back? What if these products aren't as great as they say? Can I return them? What if I can't find anyone who wants to build a business and make money like I do? My nice lady answered all those questions too. I was still concerned about the spending money to make money thing though, for obvious reasons but also because I was broke. But I decided to go for it. She allowed me to start my training before I purchased my business kit. I thought, "Well that's cool!" So, if the way she tells me to build my business doesn't work, I'm not out anything. I like that idea. Well, much to my amazement, it worked!

I made $500 my very first month. Ya, $500!!!

So, here I am 4 months into building my business and I want to share it because I have already helped many others get started creating an income from home and I want to help more. It is legitimate and it does work! From one skeptic to another! IT WORKS! It is NOT an MLM, we do consumer direct marketing. We don't stock inventory, take orders, do deliveries, collect monies. We work for ourselves and we make money helping others change their lives. Can't beat that!

Oh, I guess I should tell you a little bit about the company I work with. Silly me. I work with a marketing group called Work at Home United and we partnered with a 25 year old Environmental and Wellness company called Melaleuca. They manufacture "green" household consumables, like laundry detergent, disinfectant cleaners, glass cleaner, etc. but they originated as a pharmaceutical company so they have things like lotions, and make-up, and first-aid products. Their number one product is their Oligo vitamins. They ARE amazing. They figured out a way to make vitamins more soluble in your body and still keep the free radicals that are associated with taking vitamins at a minimum. I'm not a doctor, nor a scientist, but I know I feel good and that is all that matters to me. If I can take a few pills a day that are good for me and I have the energy to keep up with my three kids and still keep the house clean and my husband happy then I am all about it.

So, I am going to use this forum to share with everyone what it is I am doing and I am going to give little product testimonials. I wnat to share with everyone the different products as I try them and I will tell what I like and what I don't like.

I know I have rambled a lot about all this, but I hope I didn't lose anyone. I get excited when I talk about my businessmainly because I was so skeptical, but I found something that works and I can do it from home. That's exciting!
